BELFAST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Your wedding day should feel like your wedding, with time to enjoy the people, the laughter and everything you’ve planned. My approach to wedding photography in Belfast is relaxed and natural, capturing the day as it happens so you can get on with enjoying it.

For most of the day, I blend in with your guests and photograph things as they unfold. There’s no need to know how to pose or feel confident in front of a camera. You can enjoy yourself, and I’ll take care of the photos.

We’ll still make time for the important family photos and a few portraits together. I’ll find good light and give you a little guidance, keeping everything easy so you can get back to celebrating. Whether we’re wandering through the Cathedral Quarter or staying in the grounds of your venue, we’ll work around your plans.

Have a look through my photos below to get a feel for my work. If it looks like your kind of wedding photography, I’d love to hear what you’re planning.

If you’re planing a Belfast wedding and need a photographer, the best thing to do is get in touch to check availability for your date.

My remaining 2027 dates anre limited, and my 2028 and 2029 diary is open.

If I’m already booked, I’ll gladly point you towards some fantastic photographers to help with your search.

Wedding Venues in Belfast and Nearby

I’ve photographed weddings at Belfast City Hall and the Europa Hotel, as well as the Culloden Estate and Spa and The Old Inn in Crawfordsburn, just outside the city.

From a city centre celebration to a wedding surrounded by gardens, each setting brings a different feel to the photographs. My approach stays the same: capturing the people, atmosphere and moments that make the day yours, with a little time for relaxed portraits together.

You don’t need to have photo locations worked out beforehand. As we chat through your plans, I’ll help you work out where photographs fit into the day, keeping things straightforward and leaving you plenty of time with your guests.

The Process

Booking your wedding photographer should feel straightforward. Here’s how it works:

1. Get in Touch

Send me your wedding date, venue and a little about your plans. I’ll check availability and send over my current package details. If you’d like a chat before deciding, we can arrange a call, but there’s no pressure.

2. Secure Your Date

When you’re ready to book, complete my online booking form and pay the £300 deposit. Once I’ve received both, I’ll confirm everything and add your wedding to my diary.

3. Plan the Details

Around a month before your wedding, I’ll send you a questionnaire and arrange a call to chat through timings, family photos and anything else I need to know. Until then, I’m always happy to help with questions, advice or supplier recommendations.

If my approach sounds like a good fit, I’d love to hear about your plans.

  • Of all the decisions we made during wedding planning, choosing Sam to photograph our wedding was the best decision we made.

    Beth and Conor

  • He made us feel so so comfortable on a day that would be very easy to feel overwhelmed by, and many family members have said how great he was on the day too!

    Sarah and Aidan

  • Everything he has captured is just perfectly us! Tears & laughs have most definitely been shared looking back through our album which has way outdone our expectations, even the guests have fed back how amazing the photos are.

    Alice and Clayton

  • Sam is really great with people, which I believe sets him apart-all of the laughing shots from our wedding were completely genuine! I cried and cried looking through our wedding album for the first time, he had captured all the moments so beautifully!

    Hazel and Sam

  • Aside from being able to capture fantasic shots on a chaotic busy day he is also just so easy going, chill and most importantly good craic !

    Edel and Jimmy

  • We chose Sam to do our wedding photography and honestly, it felt like he was part of the wedding party!
